Heat Transfer Types
So that warmth, reaches, e.g., from a combustion, to another medium, e.g., to a heating surface, it must be transferred. The thermodynamics knows three kinds of the heat transference:
- the heat radiation, a form of transmission without touch,
- the convection, a transference by immediate contact of two media,
- and the conduction, the transport of warmth within bodies.
One speaks of warm passage if warmth by a wall or a pipe through to another medium is transported by a liquid or gas-shaped medium. A typical example for this is the warm passage of the flue gas to the steam in a heating surface.
